Studying Academic Music at St Edward’s
The Music Department at Teddies prides itself in offering excellent small-set teaching within the purpose-built classrooms and practice spaces, finding the right options for each individual musician.
Academic Music is compulsory for Shells (Year 9) and is an option thereafter. For those in Years 10 and 11, music is offered as both a GCSE and Pathway option, the latter as part of the recently introduced St Edward’s School Certificate.
In the Sixth Form, there is the option to choose A Level Music or A Level Music Technology, or to include Music (Higher Level or Standard Level) as part of the IB.
